Tulsa Global Alliance (TGA) offers a position for a program assistant to help with Sister City exchanges, the U.S. State Department International Visitor Leadership Program, global education outreach and other projects to support TGA staff as needed.
This position assists TGA staff in preparing itineraries for international visitor delegations coming to Tulsa, planning and implementing special events held during the semester, database support, and research on Oklahoma resources for international visitors. The intern’s duties will include contacting companies and other organizations in Oklahoma to request meetings; recruiting volunteers to provide transportation, home hospitality, airport greetings, and home stays; preparing written schedules for visiting delegations, creating proposals to invite future international delegations to Tulsa, and possible office staff backup.
Skills: Must be able to work well with public, have good oral and written communication skills, and be organized and flexible. A Global Scholars or international experience background is helpful, but not required.
