The Tulsa County Conservation District offers a position for an Environmental Science Intern. This position assists environmental scientists conducting Phase I and Phase II site assessments by copying historic aerial photos, assist with outreach events teaching kids about soil, water, wildlife, recycling, and other related topics, assist with macro invertebrate collection, attend bug picking sessions, possible presentation to volunteers at our annual Creek cleanup on Little Joe Creek, assist with Oklahoma Blue Thumb quality assurance session, and other tasks as assigned.
Skills: Have an interest in conservation and the environment and the goal of obtaining a degree in Earth and Environmental Science, Environmental Policy, or related field.
****This position qualifies for Community Service Work Study. If you qualify for work study through your financial aid package you may choose a Community Service Work Study position. CSWS positions have a starting pay of $9/hr.
