Awards & Recognition – draft not sure I need?

Community engagement is an integral part of the University of Tulsa experience. During the 2019-20 academic year, the TU community recorded 76,117 service hours for an economic impact of $1.8M to the Tulsa area.

True Blue Neighbors is proud to facilitate the nomination and selection process to recognize outstanding contributions to our campus and community by students, faculty, staff and organizations.

 

Marcy Lawless logoThe Marcy Lawless Service Award, which carries a stipend of $1,200, is awarded annually to the graduating student who most closely emulates First Lady Emerita Marcy Lawless’ generous spirit, creativity, vision, pursuit of excellence and commitment to serving others both on campus and in the greater Tulsa community.

The 2020 award will be presented at the 2021 Graduation Ceremony. Click here to submit a nomination between March 1-31, 2021.

The Medicine Wheel Awards recognize meritorious service in four categories of students, staff, faculty, and university organizations. The University of Tulsa seal contains the words “Wisdom, Faith, and Service”, and the Native American Medicine Wheel symbolizes our interconnectedness striving for the wholeness and well-being of all people. The Medicine Wheel Nomination window will be announced later in 2021.
